Jonas McCallum was born October 4th, 1972 in Sydney, Australia.

After graduating from Sydney University with a Bachelor of Science, he briefly attended Theatre Nepean, produced two Shakespeare plays, taught Chemistry and – more by accident than design – fell into a corporate IT career.

In 1994 he purchased a Macintosh LC575 computer, which ignited his interest in writing. He later studied creative writing at the University of Technology, Sydney.

His debut novel, Fancy Pants, was published by Clutch Drop Press in 2026.
